Cracked Chocolate Cookie Recipe Instructions:

  1. Make sure your Butter is at room temperature.

  2. Mix 2 Eggs with 150 g (5.4 oz) Sugar and 0.5 tsp Vanilla Extract to smooth consistency. You can use a mixer or a whisk. Add 2 drops of Orange Oil, and Zest from 1 Orange. Combine everything together.

3. Mix in 60 g (2.2 oz) Unsalted Butter

4. Combine Dry Ingredients: sifted 60 g (2.4 oz) Unsweetened Cacao Powder, 130 g (4.6 oz) All-Purpose Flour and 6 g (0.2 oz) of Baking Powder. It is always better to sift Cacao Powder to avoid clumps and dry spots in baked cookies.

5. Add Dry Ingredients to the Dough. Evenly mix together, so all the Ingredients are perfectly combined.

6. Chill the Dough in a fridge for about 1 hour. This is an important step to make the Dough manageable. You can chill it overnight as well and cook it the next day.

7. Roll the Dough into the balls. Coat each ball with Powdered Sugar.

8. Place Cookies on a sheet pan covered with parchment paper. Bake at 375F (190C) for 10-12 minutes. The baking time depends on the size of the cookies. The beforementioned time is estimated for a 1 tsp sized cookie.

9. Let it cool down and enjoy!
