White Chocolate Matcha Cake Recipe

Hello there Matcha Lovers!

Here is a sweet little treat for yourself or to share with someone special.

Matcha and white chocolate is a golden standard combination in baking. Top it with fresh strawberries or strawberry jam for an extra touch.

Please note: you can adjust the texture of this Matcha Cake to your liking.

Bake it for 12 minutes for a chewy texture and more than 15 minutes for a regular cake texture.

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes

  • Baking time: 12 minutes

  • Equipment: whisk, baking pen or ramekin, spatula, bowls

White Chocolate Matcha Cake Recipe

Let’s bake our Matcha Cake!

  1. In a bowl beat together 1 egg and 30 g white granulated sugar with a hand whisk

2. In a same bowl melt together:

  • 50g white chocolate chips

  • 55g unsalted butter

3. Whisk in sifted 8 g matcha powder

4. Add 30g all-purpose flour

5. Butter your baking pan or ramekin. Sift a bit of flour on top of the butter. Pour in the cake butter.

6. Bake at 400F (200C) for about 12 minutes if want the cake to be a bit chewy. Bake for 15 minutes and more if you prefer a regular cake texture.

7. Let it cool to the room temperature to prevent icing sugar from melting

13. Sift some icing sugar and/or berry powder on top of the cake. Arrange some fruits or jam if desired.

14. Cut it in half and Enjoy!
